The amount of data we create and consume every day is increasing at a staggering rate. Over the past few years, we have seen individuals and organisations alike weaving personal and public information into tapestries of graphs, maps, and images to tell vivid stories and capture the attention of their audiences. Is there more than meets the eye? The Center for Storytelling invites national and international masters of data narration to offer answers and insights. Drawing upon case studies from experts in the field of information visualisation, data journalism, information transparency, and the quantified-self movement and the fine arts, the conference provides a space to experience and critically discuss the use of data-driven stories.
